The end of story for a man

Today 28/9/2006 is the date of bad news to friends and families of Johan Eng Abdullah, also known as DJ JOE. My best buddy among many of mine, not for long since I know him but he has good heart, now gone, for good. Only 21 years old but matured beyond his age. He's been gone for two days to his personal journey mysterious to say since he's dead before he can explain to us and his families. The last chat with him by my associate during searching for him at his workplace along with his wife and litte beautiful daughter revealed that he was in Seremban (at the time of calling), and then the line been cut off and never answer the phone of his since. And then the news start come in, little bit after we break the fast and just start smoking (since now is Ramadan), that he's dead. Been hit by a van from the back, fall down with his bike and get hit by a big lorry around 9 something this morning, at least that what the police say and I suspect on the way back from his own mysterious personal journey on his borrowed motorcycle.

Now the body lies in hospital, waiting to be transfer to his hometown somewhere in Sabah to be buried, while his wife having I hope only temporary mental breakdown, kinda denying that he's gone forever and left his wife and beautiful little daughter. The state that I cannot bear to look at since it kinda.. sad. Hope that she get well. And his little daughter will be too young to remember this sad occasion, I hope. They'll be gone too, back home since everything changes suddenly, out of planning or if you prefer God will.

May you gone to the better place as I know thats where people with good hearts should go.

I will miss you good peoples.

As the Welcome to Black Parade say:

We'll carry on, we'll carry on.
Though you're dead and gone, believe me,
Your memory will carry on, will carry on,
We'll carry on.
And in my heart I can't contain it,
The anthem won't explain it.

Carry on, we'll carry on;
Though you're dead and gone, believe me,
Your memory will carry on,
We'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches on.

And of course with their beautiful daughter, Ayumi.

Kinda eerie ironic to think that few hours after searching for My Chemical Romance - Welcome to Black Parade song on Google that I received this sad news. Coincidental? or Pattern of Life? Destiny? Dont know probably the best answer. Therefore I dedicated this song to you Joe for all good deed you had done to me all this time. I swear to pay tribute to your grave when I go to Sabah at the end of this year. I spit on my hand and I shake your hand dude. This is promise, the last promise I gave to you and I shall fulfilled it.

There will never be anyone who want to burn lot of retro music into cd anymore in this shop anymore.

Cannot find this song in radioblogclub.com, but I been hear it streaming for quite a while from purevolume site.

And you can get the lyric here.

-End-

White & Nerdy

Watch the leaked videos of Al parody

I realised there is none bikini-clad girl or angry face pointing finger closer to the camera while rapping in this videos opposed to stereotype of most hip hop videos except lot of Al face in nerdy image. heh.

However I cannot place the original singer in my mind. Sound much like Eminem. Aye?

Free CD Label to Download and Use

I have prepared CentOS CD Label and Fedora Core CD Label for ISOs CD that I currently downloading right now to give away to my students when it may come soon. For anyone info, I am not a Red Hat centric, but as the system requirement for the teaching will be Red Hat based, so here come the CD Label. So I decided to make public of this quick lazy work of cd label for anybody to download and use. I based the CD Label artwork from Gentoo CD Label which you can get it here.

Using GIMP to clear out Gentoo artwork, put a new image and words that I think would suffice and voila, it's done.

I've found out that Gentoo CD Label artwork is a bit bigger size that actually normal CD, so I also have resize the template in GIMP to follow the actual CD size so that you can just cut it to the shape and paste it onto the CD. Dont forget to make the hole as well.

So. Enough story. I uploaded 2 folder using zapr beta to teh Intertube and below is the link to those 2 folders:

CentOSCDLabelNo1-4

FedoraCoreCDLabelNo1-5

So, feel free to download and use. And oh yeah, you can change and use the template for your favourite OS if you so wish.

p/s You can only download if I login into zapr. Suck. Just found the disadvantage. I will find another way to upload so that anyone can download it whenever they want without having me to login 1st. So for rite now download only between 4 p.m - 3/4 a.m everyday. Out.

Update!! I am using 4shared.com now to host those CD Label. I guess all ok now except I that I forgot to turn off uploading permission, meaning anyone can upload into mine. Ah f**k it. Here's the link: http://www.4shared.com/dir/876414/1c46cd62/sharing.html

Finally, the truth is out at last!! Rejoice! Rejoice! Smoke that shit y'all.

By: Belia Benci Dadah & Belia Suka Herba

Well, for a quite some time, I always think drug laws provided by Malaysian Government now are completely monolith and full of myth and mitos which somehow will ask (in the nearest future) to be written back truthfully without bias and justification and also discrimination. And now the truth is coming out in mainstream Malaysia, albeit slowly, but come out at last. Beginning with Harakah edition being the first newspaper in Malaysia (that I am currently aware) to show the 'goodness' of taking cannabis or Ganja in our local language which I cannot find the link anywhere in teh Interweb (I read that in Harakah hard copy edition some few months ago), followed by now today news 14/9/2006 in Utusan Malaysia which titled Kanabis bunuh sel kanser. You can see the article from Harm Reduction Journal.com website here (the site the Utusan are referring to).

It is also been known for a while that cannabis does not applicable in 'Gateway Theory', the theory which say that smoking cannabis regularly can lead the user (or some might say abuser) into taking more hardcore drugs such as heroin cocaine, etc. You can read here for a more understandable language while those who are into those technical medical term can read here.

I wonder if there any Malaysian researcher did ever study or do any research on this substance at all? And if they are, did they afraid to release the result to the public for fearing the Government will take away their job, grants, lab etc? Even for the truth?

Some parts of London have been experimenting with 'soft approach' on cannabis few years back while other parts in Europe such as Amsterdam (the Mecca for cannabis user) has been long legalized it. I remember watching news on TV when some of the MP (a.k.a Adun) in UK Parliament start to admit publicly that they are taking cannabis either in High School or University during the Parliament sesion, which then led to change of drug abuse law which involved downgrading the class of Cannabis from Grade B to Grade C which is equivalent to pharmaceutical drugs. Also I remember when those street kids, those underage teenage girls and boys who are living in Foyer on Government allowance (in front of kebab shop that I am working in Commercial Road) celebrate the news by publicly smoking the cannabis in front of many people passing on Commercial Street. And the people just looked. some people say "Go on, mate", "Smoke that shit y'all" and many others just smiling. Heh. Wish not to forgot that memory. I dont remember that we in Malaysia classify drugs with Grades. We use shortcut and say All Drugs Illegal, which to my meaning even the drugs that hospital use as well lor.. that is my understatement of Malaysian drug law. In simplicity.

I wonder if any ADUN here in Malaysia will admit that they smoking cannabis in Parliament if they ever done it while in young age. I probably succumb to typical stereotype general local perception (when it come to how-Government-react-if-we-do-this-dilemma) that anyone dare to do that in our local Parliament will be punish severely or maybe been thrown out from the Parliament. Period.

Looking from Parliament Session Draft here, I dont think that those old people are ready for a change now. What can we say, Old People Mentality Syndrome would be my guess.

So, all in all, it seems that citizen of Malaysia had been denied the truth from our ruler to enforce those bias laws towards the rightful citizens in the so called democratic country. We are really need an NGO or some other organization that can campaign (bravely within the Malaysian law jurisdiction) for the goodness of the cannabis which hopefully can led to legalize the substance in Malaysia in the future, hence wrote back and overwrite those existing bias indiscriminate and full of lies laws which the citizen seem to be abiding for quite some time now without even realised that it's full of bull.

Are they exist anywhere? Hello NGO?

Quote of the day:
Although I am not agreed with what you will saying, but I will defend to my death the right for you to say it. -Voltaire maybe.. I know it somewhere.

Sick as Hell

That's what I feel now. And also I learn one thing. When it's raining in KL, never you go walk in the rain without anything to cover your head. Get umbrella or rain jacket etc. I did'nt last time I walk in the rain in KL last Monday. I dont even realise the rain so acidious that time untill I get quite mild fever with a little bit of flu now . I dont know if anyone else realise how bad the air in Klang Valley as in few days before untill now, but it make me sick. Really sick. I therefore wonder how we can campaign to the tourist to come to our country when the air that people here breathing is polluted with haze.

Remember that it takes 3-4 years for me to get a one time really really sick during years in overseas while it takes 2-3 times a year here in Malaysia for me to get REALLY really sick. It just make me wonder what they got there in their weather compared to our beautiful country weather?

Browsing DOE website and I didnt find anything that shows Haze / Air Pollution Index in Real Time for Malaysia. It suck. They should have that kind of thing in their website. And I think it not take rocket science to build one. Even High School student can build it for their own school project. Especially under Government. Duh.

Wondering around again and I found this in US Embassy website. To quote "Air quality in Malaysia is acceptable most of the time. However, when burning of vegetation occurs in Malaysia and nearby countries, especially from March through June and during September and October, air quality can range from “unhealthy for sensitive groups” to “unhealthy." Those concerned about air quality, especially the elderly and those with respiratory problems, may wish to consult the Malaysian Department of Environment's Web site, www.jas.sains.my/ and other local media Web sites such as The New Straits Times, The Malay Mail, The Star Online, and etc. " end quote.

I had consult with jas.sains.my a.k.a doe.gov.my but to my dissapointment, they are suck. As hell. And then I am sick. As hell.

Nice Defcon vids

Theres a rap song in the background with good lyric. something about virtual reality or something. There also Bunny, the one who make Mixrosoft have huge grudge over him cos he play a lot on his xbox... or something. Many people. Theres one crazy guy with backpack carrying panel of some sort wandering around. RFID they say. Everybody bring on their creativeness (and craziness) together in one place. Having fun. Good to have something like that in Malaysia for a change. Nice one. I keep it here.
